The Opportunity

We are running a large Data Warehouse, which is constantly improved and that delivers reports, containing card-based payment transactions in various formats for external and internal stakeholders. We are a collegial, friendly and helpful team; looking for a skilled and open-minded person to join us.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Building and supporting CI pipelines in GitLab
• Creating various automations with Python and Bash, and maintaining existing ones
• Assisting with application modernization and migration from on-premises infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IAC) setups using Terraform
• Setting up monitoring in GCP and improving current on-premises systems monitoring
• Participating in incident management and on-call rotations
• Providing support for legacy on-premises systems until migration is complete
• Sharing knowledge with other team members and organizing demos or workshops occasionally

Skills we can’t do without:

• 3-5 years of experience in an SRE/DevOps role
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC), preferably using Terraform
• Proficiency in setting up CI pipelines, with a preference for GitLab
• Strong Python knowledge
• Extensive experience with public cloud services (3+ years), preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with solid understanding of core cloud services, cloud-based architecture, and security practices. Knowledge of GCP data-related services is a big plus
• Experience in setting up monitoring systems and understanding monitoring metrics
• Proven experience with managing Linux-based systems
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous
• Certifications such as CKA, GCP Professional Architect/Security, and CCNA are a plus
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is a plus
