The Opportunity
Worldline MTS (Mobility and e-Transactional Services) provides end-to-end digital transactional services leveraging our products, data, and payment for a stronger customer engagement. We support our customers’ digital transformation with the creation of innovative solutions, leveraging our products and similar experiences across sectors, and committing on joint business cases. Inside MTS, the “Transport and Mobility” pillar has objectives to facilitate powering journeys and movement worldwide, connecting people whilst prioritising customer satisfaction and social empowerment of our people. The Transport and Mobility pillar covers the following segments:
- Transport Operations: delivering The Time Promise, by connecting the right operational people to the right assets at the right time, to enable an on-time railway.
- Transport Retail: connecting people to transportation systems to improve their daily lives.
- Mobility Orchestration: Integrating transport modes to make MaaS a reality.
- Settlement and Specialist services: providing large scale critical platforms to keep transport on the move.
We are seeking a knowledgeable and dynamic Software Trainer to join our Rail Operations Training team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality training sessions to our clients on specialised rail operations software. Your primary goal will be to enhance user experience and proficiency through tailored training sessions that address the needs of diverse audiences.
You will work closely with stakeholders to develop training materials and guides that are easy to understand and effective in conveying the functionalities and benefits of our products. This position requires the candidate to gain an in-depth understanding of our software features, as well as exceptional communication skills to successfully relay complex information in a digestible format. You will also have the opportunity to shape our training programs, implement feedback, and make necessary adjustments to ensure that every learner achieves their goals.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Training Design and Delivery:
- Develop comprehensive training materials, including user manuals, presentation slides, and hands-on exercises.
- Conduct instructor-led training sessions, both in-person and virtual, for clients as well as new internal hires and existing internal employees.
- Customise training programs based on the specific needs of various departments and user levels.
Curriculum Development:
- Create and update training curriculum to stay current with software updates and new features.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Subject Matter Experts to ensure training content is accurate and relevant.
Assessment and Feedback:
- Develop and administer assessments to measure training effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Gather feedback from delegates to continuously enhance the training program.
Support and Documentation:
- Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance to employees using the software.
- Maintain a repository of training materials and documentation for easy access by staff.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about the latest trends in rail operations and training methodologies.
- Propose and implement improvements to the training process and materials.
- This work requires travel to various company locations or customer sites across the UK & Ireland.
- Flexibility is required to occasionally work or travel outside of regular business hours if necessary (kept to a minimum)
Who Are We Looking For

- Teaching / training qualifications are preferred but not essential. If you don’t have qualifications in this area, you should be willing to undertake CPD (Continuing Professional Development) training.
- 3+ years of experience in software training, instructional design, or technical support is essential, preferably in the rail or transportation industry, but experience in any sector is welcome.
- Experience with rail operations software or similar systems is highly desirable but not essential.
- Proficiency in using standard software applications to design and deliver training.
- An understanding of rail operations and related processes is a bonus, but full training is given.
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and deliver them in an engaging manner.
- Patient, adaptable, and able to work with a diverse range of learners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to and teach new software tools quickly.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
