The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Senior Credit Risk Expert to be part of the Credit Risk Centre of Excellence within our global Credit Risk department, which consists of several globally spread teams with end-to-end credit risk management responsibility at merchant and portfolio level.
In this challenging role, you will be at the core of our organization with a high level of exposure, contributing to the quality and high standards within Credit Risk and supporting Worldline’s growth and profitability by ensuring sustainable new and existing credit exposures and minimalization of credit losses.
Besides your direct colleagues within Credit Risk, you will work closely with various stakeholders such as Sales, Legal and other Risk departments. This position is based in Poland and we offer a hybrid way of working from home and at our great Warsaw office.
About The Team
Our global Credit Risk department is part of Merchant Services Risk Management & Operations and it manages international merchants in various industries. Our primary focus is on reviewing new and existing merchants, monitoring non-delivery exposure and credit quality on merchant and portfolio level. The Credit Risk department is growing and currently consists of more than 20 professionals spread across different offices worldwide. The regular exchange with colleagues and experts from different countries ensures exciting daily work and challenges at the same time. Within Credit Risk, we are globally minded with a FinTech touch. Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Update and improve Worldline Credit Risk Standards in close collaboration with Group Merchant Risk Management department.
- Development and update credit risk templates for merchants financial assessment and credit exposure estimation
- Performance of periodic internal controls on Credit Risk Management teams’ activities
- Quality assurance and credit tooling ownership
- Development and improvement of Credit Risk Standard Operating Procedures
- Continuous contribution to further professionalization of the Credit Risk Center of Excellence (CoE)
- Assess new Digital Payment Solutions to define the implication from a Credit Risk perspective and provide guidance on the credit risk assessment to perform for each different Payment Solution offered.
- Provide guidance and recommendations, on request and pro-actively, to the operational risk teams (e.g. Credit Risk, Onboarding, Monitoring) ensuring them to optimize their standard operating procedures (SOP)
- Provide training to the Credit Risk Management teams about the latest Credit Risk Standards or Standard Operating Procedures and any other subject related to Credit Risk Management, as well as to other departments, as sales organization, account management and other relevant stakeholders.
Who Are We Looking For:

- Enhanced experience within credit risk management, credit ratings and methodologies
- Deep understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
- At least 5 years of analytical experience with corporate credit risk assessments
- You are result-oriented and diligent with a strong ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- You have a good sense of responsibility and always strive for perfection and deliver simplicity
- Strong communication and presentational skills
- Negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Self-driven and solution oriented
- Full working proficiency in English, any additional professional language skill as Polish is considered a plus
- Preferable a master’s degree in finance, accounting, business economics, or related field
- Payment or FinTech industry experience would be a plus
