The opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior QA Specialist to join our engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an early-career professional to learn from experienced engineers, contribute to the quality of our software products, and grow your technical skills. You will support our team in executing test plans, reporting bugs, and helping us maintain high standards of reliability. We value curiosity, a sharp eye for detail, and a passion for learning how to break (and fix!) software.

Day-to-day responsibilities

Core responsibilities

• Test Execution: Execute manual and automated test cases according to defined test plans.
• Defect Reporting: Clearly document, track, and verify software bugs using our issue-tracking systems.
• Support & Collaboration: Work closely with the QA and Engineering teams to understand features and assist in verifying fixes.
• Automation Learning: Assist in maintaining existing automated test scripts and contribute to increasing our test coverage under the guidance of senior team members.
• Documentation: Maintain and update test documentation to ensure our processes stay accurate and helpful.
• Continuous Improvement: Participate in team meetings and contribute fresh ideas for improving our testing workflows.

Who are we looking for

Must have

• Experience: 0–4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or a related field (academic projects, internships, or bootcamps count!).
• Foundational Knowledge: Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies (e.g., black-box testing, regression testing).
• Analytical Mindset: An inquisitive nature and the ability to think critically about how software behaves.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• Tools: Basic familiarity with bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and an interest in learning modern automation frameworks.

Nice-to-Have

• Exposure to automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress).
• Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman).
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database interactions.
• Exposure to version control systems like Git.
• A strong desire to learn CI/CD practices and cloud technologies.
