The Opportunity
As the People Leader of a Risk Onboarding Team, you'll be steering the initial risk assessment process for customers, both Merchants and Partners, during their onboarding journey. Your leadership will ensure streamlined outreach and standardization of risk onboarding procedures across the entire group.
The role requires strong leadership and team management skills. There are multiple stakeholders and the ability to collaborate and communicate within and across teams is central in the role. It comes naturally to see the big picture without losing an eye for detail. The work is based within a global multicultural company and the ability to be flexible and shift tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment is essential.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, support and develop the Risk onboarding team, ensuring operational excellence in assessing customer risk
- Oversee the initial risk assessment of new customers – both Merchants and Partners.
- Responsibility to safeguard that Worldline’s policies, internal and external regulations are being adhered to in the risk onboarding process for all team members
- Collaborate with other teams and departments to ensure consistent application of policies and risk assessments
- Take responsibility for management reporting and tracking of action lists for the team.
- Communicate statuses, risks, and issues to senior management and stakeholders, including progress reports, executive summaries, and presentations
- Foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities and are working effectively together
- Training and Awareness: Stay updated on regulatory developments and industry best practices related to KYC and anti-money laundering (AML) to ensure compliance awareness among team members.

- You have experience in risk management, onboarding, and underwriting
- You adept in assessing risk and making informed decisions
- You have proven strong leadership and team management skills
- You have excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and tactically.
- You can work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks and lead cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Very good (at least C1) written and verbal business communication skills in German and English.
