The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Solutions Engineer to join our SMB Central Partner Team. In this strategic role, you will serve as the key technical consultant — both to our Partner Sales Managers and directly to our partners — bridging the gap between partner needs and Worldline's product organisation. Working closely with the SMB Partner Sales Enablement Lead, you will play a critical role in scaling our partner sales motion, accelerating onboarding, and driving revenue growth across a curated portfolio of key SMB partners. Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Internal Consultant to Partner Sales Managers:
- Serve as the dedicated technical consultant to the Partner Sales Manager team, providing expertise and guidance throughout the full partner sales cycle
- Support deal qualification, solution scoping, and technical positioning to accelerate partner acquisition and revenue growth
- Collaborate with the SMB Partner Sales Enablement Lead to develop scalable tools, playbooks, and technical resources that empower the broader partner sales team
Partner-Facing Consultation & Enablement:
- Act as a trusted technical advisor in partner-facing engagements, building credibility and strong relationships with partner stakeholders at all levels
- Translate partner business requirements into tailored Worldline solutions, clearly articulating the technical and commercial value proposition
- Deliver compelling presentations and demos on Worldline's product and service capabilities to diverse audiences, from technical teams to senior decision-makers
- Support partners with proof of concepts and enable self-service through tools such as sandboxes and developer resources
Product & Organisation Bridge:
- Act as the conduit between partners and Worldline's product organisation — capturing partner feedback, surfacing gaps, and advocating for roadmap priorities that reflect market needs
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, technology, onboarding, and support teams to ensure seamless partner integration and solution delivery
- Conduct UX and checkout optimisation analyses, advising partners on strategies to enhance customer experience and transaction efficiency
- Stay current on Worldline product developments and payments industry trends, feeding insights back to internal stakeholders to maintain competitive alignment
Who Are We Looking For
We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:
- 3+ years of experience in solutions engineering, technical pre-sales, or solutions consulting within the payments or fintech industry
- Proven ability to operate as an internal consultant, supporting sales teams with technical expertise and enablement resources
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience bridging commercial and product/technical teams, with a track record of translating partner needs into actionable product feedback
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate across cross-functional and cross-regional teams, including product, sales, and onboarding
- Solid understanding of PSP environments, payment integrations, and the SMB e-commerce landscape
- A degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred
- Fluency in English; additional European languages a plus
- Willingness to travel across Europe and the UK
