Context


The implementation of PSD2 in Europe and Open Banking across the globe and the proliferation of API-led possibilities has led to a tremendous potential in shaping up the new Open APIs business models in the banking industry. 


The impact of Open Banking goes far beyond regulation, and we are seeing banks, fintechs, bigtechs, and other non-banks across the world use Open Banking and APIs to shape their businesses and monetise their data, products, services, capabilities, and platforms.


Open Banking when combined with convenience, personalization and digitization facilitates the user either to come to new or improved services, improved processes of it’s current services and/or better risk management.


Open Banking is both about data driven use cases (PFM, credit scoring for instance, and payment use cases (account based payment)..

 

The Product Manager is responsible for the definition of a value proposition in line with the business objectives of Open Banking strategy. The main mission consists in maximizing the investment done on his product by :
•    working with Product Marketing Manager to analyse market trends, define and follow actions to promote his product,

•    gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements and summarizing these requirements into a short term and long term roadmap,

•    working closely with delivery teams, especially with Product Owners and Project Managers to detail the requirements into concreate features and customer journeys,

•    assessing partners either to enrich the value proposition and/or speed-up the go-to market of his product (make or buy decision),

•    managing sales support by delivering materials and training on his product

 

The Product Manager is expected to:
•    define the product strategy and roadmap and manage the investment query/follow-up in line with the Worldline process,

•    summarize the value proposition and high level description of the product features into sales materials (product description, customer presentation, standard proposal, sales training kit...),

•    establish and follow a list of requirements following an agile approach with the delivery team,

•    qualify partnerships (legal, functional & business aspects to assess),

•    “eat his own food” by participating to the beta test of his product (improvement…),

•    be active in his product promotion by participating in the writing of articles, blog posts, white papers.

 

Requirements:

  • excperiience in Product Management in Open Banking area;
  • very good communication skills, in English, Dutch is a pre
  • ability to work in an international environment.
  • we are looking for autonomical behaviour and leaderships skills
  • to be able to deal with many different stakeholders
  • good writing capability
