For the Transport Operations Business Unit, we are looking for a Software Solutions (Presales) Consultant – with a specialism in UK rail operations – to provide consulting, operational and technical support to the Sales team. The right person will work in close partnership with the Business Development Managers and BU Director and teams to successfully present the company's solutions to the market. This is an outward facing role and an in depth knowledge of rail operations markets is essential.

 

The role will support the sales team by providing technical expertise, demonstrations, solution presentations and proposals to potential customers. The ability to understand customer requirements and propose tailored solutions will drive successful presales engagements.

 

Working with potential clients or customers you will ensure they have a strong understanding of the services and/or products that Worldline are able to offer and the differentiators and benefits we bring to them.

 

Whilst the UK is a key focus, you will have a global perspective and the ability to navigate complexity, while also demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and locations.

 

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

 

  • Team collaboration and engagement: Engage with our teams of experts to support business growth and to make sure that we reach our objectives.
  • Support presales activities: Collaborate with the sales and operational teams to provide knowledge and insights on Operational Rail products and solutions during the pre-sales process. Assist in identifying customer needs, offering the appropriate solutions, writing proposals, delivering demos and presentations and addressing technological or business-related inquiries.
  • Execution of transport strategy: Contribute to implementation of our transport and technical strategy.
  • Market Dynamics: Collaborate with our team of Rail market specialists and their wider contacts to understand emerging changes to market dynamics, as government policy and strategy evolves
  • Support existing product teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams involved in the development, implementation, and enhancement of mobility and payment products. Provide expertise, insights on market dynamics, and assist in solving complex challenges.
  • Identify new product opportunities: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, market trends, and regulatory changes within the mobility and payment ecosystem. Evaluate potential opportunities for new product development, conduct feasibility studies, and present recommendations to senior management.
  • Identify potential partnerships: Seek opportunities to work with SMEs to strengthen the value proposition to existing and potential new clients through strategic tie-ins which are of mutual benefit
