The Opportunity

 

We manage various market facing services and applications within Issuing, such as standardized Issuing Gui's for various backend services, cardholder and business portals with front- and backend responsibilities, SMS and notification services and many more. You will work with our scrum team members and clients to design, run and maintain these payment systems of the future. These services are characterized by high quality and availability, combined with innovation.

 

This position offers a high level of creative freedom and challenges in planning and implementation, as well

as ongoing application management. In this process, you will learn many disciplines of system development,

allowing you to grow as an expert.

  

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

 

• Acquire proactively a comprehensive understanding of the products for which you have

responsibility

• Assess ideas on their business value and technical feasibility.

• Assess client requirements for product evolution and define based on that the detailed user stories

• Working closely with product management, software architecture, and relevant stockholders to

create a product that fits within the company portfolio

• E2E product responsibility along with the scrum team members incl. functional and technical aspects

of the product

• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the roadmap of the product evolution

• Developing the scope and defining backlog items (epics/features/user stories) that drive the agile

software development team.

• Supporting the agile team with story estimation and planning; building and maintaining the scrum

team backlog.

• Defining and validating acceptance criteria (based on the Definition of Ready and the Definition of

Done) and evaluating the sprint outcome based on this; Participating in team demos and

retrospectives.

• Ensuring that the conceptual and technical integrity of Product Features is maintained at all times;

Training and educating other team members.

• Configuring of the application, acquiring and maintaining a solid knowledge of the technologies used

to develop our products.

• Be a proactive team-player and ensure the right level of direct communication to the different roles

to avoid silos and ensure continuity

Who Are We Looking For

• A minimum of 4 years of work experience as a Business Analyst in IT services and software

development, preferably in the electronic payments sector.

• A degree in IT, engineering, computer science or economics?

• Good working experience in a complex and international environment.

• Experience with Agile (scaled) frameworks (LeSS, SAFe, etc.) and/or DevOps.

• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to achieve a common goal and in dynamic situations with

tight and rigid deadlines.

• A structured and analytical work approach with strong presentation skills.

• Strong team player with the ability to listen and communicate equally with all stakeholders and team

members.

• Good level of technical background and strong capability of common tools (e.g. Jira). Knowledge

about front- and backend technologies such as Angular and Java is a plus and the ability to read and

write in SQL, along with basic scripting capabilities.

• Experience with Cloud Environments and/or Cloud-based Applications is a plus.

• Proficiency in English is mandatory, and German is a plus.
