About the role:


The purpose of this role is to define and own the product strategy and roadmap within Worldline Acceptance, in line with the Go 2 Market expectations. You will be responsible for helping to bring innovative ideas to life! This will include managing the product vision and roadmap for your area of expertise, product life cycle and analysing the market and the competition to keep ahead of the game!

You will be responsible for and require experience in 5 key areas: 


  1. Strategy & Research


  • Assessing ideas on their business value and technical feasibility
  • Analysing competition and market


  1. Roadmap


  • Acquiring input from all stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Strategy, Technology) to define the product strategy and roadmap
  • Produce and maintain the business initiatives, based on your strategic understanding and vision of the market, and support the Product Owner in translating into detailed requirements, to get them prioritize into the development backlog
  • Manage Worldline governance processes (DMB/ Rapid) for initiation of new initiatives and allocation for budget/demand
  • Support the execution of product Go-to-Market strategy (communication, documentation, training), in line with the Go to Market division.


  1. Define and own new concepts and convert them into proof-of-concepts, handling technical, commercial, marketing, etc. topics in a coordinating role (between GBDs)


  • Make and own the business case for new features to be implemented and act as gatekeeper for requests
  • Definition Business Requirements (Product Description, Value Added, User Interactions, User Journey Mapping: Drive an intuitive and friction-less end-to-end user-journey)
  • Manage lifecycle of solutions (new dev / phase out etc) and monitor and provide insight into drivers of the product component objectives, KPIs, USPs, etc


  1. Manage profitability of own product set (multiple components). Understand usage/ revenues and costs associated. Report on them to portfolio management


  1. Product Manager provide input on target audience, objectives, USPs, competitive insights, FAQs & objection management, etc.


  • Participate in sales meetings as subject matter expert and monitor success & obtain feedback on existing solutions via customer operations, sales, merchants, adoption etc.


Critical Competencies - skills and abilities required for the role


  • Knowledge of specific business area in payments industry (desirable)
  • Product Management experience across the product lifecycle from concept and design to delivery and BAU management of mature products
  • Able to work in a role that combines both strategic and operational tasks in a highly dynamic organization
  • Strong analytical skills solutions driven: Understands customer/market needs and the requirements linked to it to translate into associated functionalities that can be easily implemented
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Able to communicate with both technical and non-technical staff at all levels in the organization, including senior management
  • Quick learner: able to adapt quickly in a rapidly changing and demanding environment while having the ability to manage own time with conflicting priorities
  • A natural leader that creates support and is comfortable in taking decisions based on input from stakeholders and product vision
  • A strong team player, who supports the team and puts team and business objectives first
