The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Payment Scheme Analyst to join our dynamic & international team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in optimizing scheme fee recovery and avoidance across our business. You will leverage your expertise in financial analysis to ensure accurate invoicing, provide valuable insights to stakeholders, and drive significant cost savings.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Scheme Fee Optimization:
- Continuously monitor and analyze scheme fees for non-compliant transactions
- Implement corrective actions and drive merchant recovery to minimize non-compliance costs
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance scheme fee recovery and avoidance
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Conduct in-depth analysis of scheme invoices to ensure accuracy and identify trends
- Prepare comprehensive management reports on scheme fee performance
- Provide accurate accrual estimates and scheme cost splits to the Finance department
- Support the quarterly reinvoicing process for intercompany bookings
Joint Venture Collaboration:
- Consolidate and assist Joint Ventures (JVs) in the analysis of their scheme invoices
- Collaborate with JVs to set up a non-compliance taskforce to reduce costs
Strategic Initiatives:
- Broaden the scope of invoice analysis to encompass the entire Merchant Services portfolio
- Drive full alignment with the Finance department on scope and accrual processes
Scheme Fee Forecasting:
- Develop and maintain accurate forecasts for future scheme fees
Who Are We Looking For

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, with a strong focus on payment processing or related industries
- Proven ability to analyze complex data sets, identify trends, and draw meaningful conclusions
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
