The Opportunity

This role offers the rare opportunity to step into the heart of a cloud-native fintech environment, where you won’t just be monitoring dashboards but actively shaping the security of modern and resillient Java/Spring Boot microservices and TypeScript/React frontends stack, deployed on AWS and on-prem. You’ll be embedded in a collaborative culture over multiple geographies where security is a shared responsibility across development, cloud, and product teams. You will also have the space to grow beyond triage work and gain hands-on exposure to both application security and cloud infrastructure security, all while building expertise in an industry where trust and compliance are mission-critical.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

• Monitor and analyze security alerts across cloud services (AWS + on-prem) and applications.
• Assist with incident response: investigating, documenting, and helping remediate security events.
• Work closely with developers to secure Spring Boot microservices and APIs.
• Run vulnerability scans and support remediation of findings across code and infrastructure.
• Help strengthen cloud security.
• Stay ahead of and share the latest threats, cloud risks, and fintech security trends.

Who Are We Looking For

People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:

• You can demonstrate a solid understanding of IT fundamentals (networking, operating systems, cloud basics).
• You’ve got substantial knowledge of AWS cloud services (App Runner, Fargate, Cognito, RDS etc.) and cloud security principles.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across security, backend (Java/Spring Boot), and frontend (TypeScript/React) teams.
• Motivation and passion for cybersecurity, cloud-native applications, and fintech innovation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• You master the fundamentals of Java/Spring Boot applications and React/TypeScript frontends, including common application security risks (OWASP Top 10).
• 2+ years working in security operations, cloud security, DevSecOps, or related IT/security engineering roles.
