The Opportunity

We are looking for a seasoned Financial Crime Compliance Officer with experience of working with the regulations on AML/CFT to join our Nordic Compliance team. As a part of the Nordic Compliance team, you will work with the Nordic Worldline entities and be based in Stockholm. As a part of the Worldline Group you will also be contributing to business area and group wide initiatives on a European- and Global level. In this role you will have the opportunity to work with compliance in an international environment, while maintaining a local core and work closely with various teams in the organization.

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

 

Risk Review and Assessment

  • Conduct risk reviews and complete risk assessments as required, identifying areas of potential concern.Investigate, measure, and report on the organization's risk of suspicious or fraudulent financial activity.

 

Regulatory Compliance and Updates

  • Keep the team updated with changes in relevant laws, guidelines, and regulations for anti-money laundering (AML).Develop and implement strategies to comply with anti-money laundering, sanctions, and countering terrorism financing laws.

 

Advisory and Analysis

  • Provide independent, expert advice and analysis to the business, ensuring informed decision-making.Offer guidance on best practices and compliance requirements.

 

Collaboration with Stakeholders

  • Work closely with auditors and regulators to minimize money-laundering risks to the business.Collaborate with various departments to ensure a coordinated approach to compliance activities

 

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Regularly monitor financial transactions to detect suspicious or fraudulent activity.Create detailed reports on risk assessments and compliance activities, and present findings to senior management and relevant stakeholders

 

Who are we looking for

  • As a successful hire, you have extensive knowledge of matters on AML/CFT within Sweden and the EU and experience of working within a compliance function. Experience with payments, other Nordic AML/CFT regulations, GDPR and/or financial sanctions is beneficial.
  • You perform your compliance duties with integrity and are making yourself familiar with the organization and the business, keeping “a finger on the pulse” without compromising the independence required of a second line control function.
  • You work proactively and independently but are not afraid to consult your colleagues, raise concerns or ask for help.
  • You have a master’s degree in law, finance, business administration or a related field
  • You have at least 3 years of experience in compliance roles
  • You have experience of working with the Swedish AML Act and related regulations as well as main international frameworksYou have an analytical mindset, paying attention to details without losing the bigger picture
  • You possess strong communication, presentation and intercultural skills
  • Your oral and written English and Swedish skills are on a professional level
