The Opportunity
Splunk Engineer is a member of Cyber Platform Team in an international context of Cyber Defense Center. The team has to maintan and operate Splunk Enterprise Security with the goal to enhance the security of Worldline.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and optimize Splunk Enterprise / Enterprise Security.
- Develop and maintain Splunk dashboards, reports, and alerts to monitor systems, security, and application performance.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, operations, and development teams to gather requirements and implement logging and monitoring solutions.
- Maintain data models, queries, and indexes to ensure efficient data ingestion and retrieval.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Splunk-related issues.
- Implement best practices for data security, retention policies, and user access controls within Splunk.
- Conduct regular health checks and performance tuning to ensure optimal functioning of the Splunk environment.
- Document architecture, configurations, and procedures.
- Stay updated with the latest Splunk features, security vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
Who Are We Looking For
We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:
- You've got knowledge of Security frameworks like Mitre Attack Framework, Cyber KillChain. You understand the methods and tactics used by attackers.
- Proven experience with Splunk Enterprise and/or Splunk Cloud environments.
- Basic knowledge of different OS, network technologies (VPN, FW, GW, etc.).
- Strong proficiency in SPL (Splunk Processing Language).
- Experience with data ingestion, normalization, and parsing techniques (regex).
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell is a plus.
- Understanding of network protocols, security concepts, and log management.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Splunk Core Certified Power User, Splunk Certified Architect) are a plus.
- Fluent English level is mandatory
