The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate software engineer to join our international team dedicated to creating next-generation Android payment terminals. Our team, based in France, Spain, and India, is focused on building an easy-to-use payment framework that any Worldline team can utilize to serve their customers efficiently. Embracing values such as reliability, openness, and ease of integration, you will work alongside experts in payment technology and drive initiatives to better serve our customers.
 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

• Architect and implement innovative solutions for Android payment terminals in line with best practices.
• Champion industry standards within the Android/Kotlin ecosystem and promote excellence among team members.
• Scope, design, implement, and deploy robust solutions while making tradeoffs between reliability, performance, and costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance security, observability, and compliance across our infrastructure.
• Maintain high engineering standards by improving our codebase, processes, and overall systems.
   

Who Are We Looking For

We are looking for proactive individuals who can think outside the box. This means:

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or Information Systems.
• At least 6 years of experience in complex environments in a similar role, demonstrating results.
• Previous experience with the Kotlin programming language and familiarity with the Android ecosystem is essential.
• Working knowledge of Jetpack & Compose libraries for efficient app development.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the fintech/payment domain, particularly with Nexo and CB.
• A strong background in performance analysis, system debugging, and API design.
• Knowledge of the JVM ecosystem and insights into Android OS internals.
• A generalist mindset, ready to take on various challenges and solve problems effectively.
• Empathy for users, focusing on crafting exceptional experiences.
