The opportunity

 

As a QC Analyst, you perform quality checks of cases in accordance with the applicable procedures. Your role serves two primary purposes: confirming the accuracy of risk assessments and providing targeted feedback to drive continuous improvement. By verifying that reviews are complete, timely, and compliant with regulatory standards, you ensure consistent policy application. You are tasked with documenting evidence-based decisions, identifying process or data deficiencies, and initiating corrective actions to strengthen our overall risk controls and data integrity.

Day-to-day responsibilities

 

  • Quality Control: Perform quality checks according to internal procedures to ensure they are compliant with regulatory standards, internal policies, scheme and credit standards (CDD review & EDR)
  • Risk Assessment: Check the accuracy and logic of risk assessments, providing actionable feedback to analysts to ensure consistent, high-quality decision-making.
  • Ownership and improvement: Assess working processes and procedures, identify shortcomings, perform gap analyses, and provide recommendations or take ownership on improvements. Pro- actively provide guidance, coaching and best practices, to the less experienced team members
  • Training and Awareness: Stay updated on regulatory developments and industry best practices related to KYC and anti-money laundering (AML) to ensure compliance awareness among team members, knowledge sharing, and best-practice guidance to colleagues.

 

Who are we looking for

 

We look for people who have a prior quality control/assurance experience, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and love to work with multiple stakeholders. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:

 

  • You have at least 5+ years’ AML experience within the financial services industry and 3+ experience in a checker role, preferably in a payments company or a bank.
  • You have understanding of KYC, AML, and other regulatory requirements
  • You've got substantial knowledge in finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • You have excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • You are result-oriented and diligent with a strong ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • You have excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • You have a good sense of responsibility and always strive for perfection and simplicity.
  • You have full working proficiency in English both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in additional European languages is advantageous.
  • You are able to work with various computer systems/programs.
