The Opportunity

 

We are seeking a dynamic Field Sales Agent to expand our payment solutions portfolio through direct merchant engagement and relationship building. This role requires a payments industry professional who understands the evolving needs of businesses and can position our comprehensive payment processing, point-of-sale, and digital payment solutions to drive revenue growth.

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

 

Sales & Revenue Generation:

 

  • Conduct face-to-face sales presentations of payment processing solutions to merchants and businesses
  • Execute door-to-door prospecting campaigns
  • Demonstrate POS systems, mobile payment solutions, and e-commerce integrations
  • Negotiate merchant services agreements, processing rates, and equipment leases

 

Merchant Relationship Management:

 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
  • Conduct regular business reviews to optimize payment solutions and identify growth opportunities
  • Provide ongoing support for payment processing issues and technical questions
  • Ensure merchant satisfaction and retention through proactive account management

 

Territory & Market Development:

 

  • Develop territory strategy focusing on high-value merchant segments (retail, restaurants, healthcare, professional services)
  • Attend local business networking events and trade associations
  • Maintain knowledge of competitor offerings and pricing structures

Skills we can’t do without: 

 

    • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets
    • Strong financial analysis and pricing negotiation abilities
    • Excellent presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

 

 

Skills we’d like: 

 

  • Previous experience with payment processors
  • Understanding of omnichannel payment solutions

 

Travel Requirements

  • 50%-60% travel within assigned territory
  • Daily merchant visits and prospecting activities
  • Attendance at regional trade shows and industry conferences
