The Opportunity
We are looking for a Procurement Officer. Reporting hierarchically to the CFO of Worldline Merchant Services Italia and functionally to the Group Head of Procurement, the candidate will be integrated in the Finance Department Team and will be in charge for the company's entire procurement cycle, from supplier search and selection to negotiation management and performance monitoring.
This key figure ensures efficiency, cost optimization and quality of supplies for all areas of the company, working autonomously, with a proactive approach and a wide collaboration with all the other Company’s department.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Supplier Search and Selection: Identify, evaluate and qualify new suppliers nationally and internationally based on cost, quality, reliability and sustainability criteria. Maintain an up-to-date database of qualified suppliers and their performance.
Negotiation and Procurement: Manage the entire process of request for proposal (RFP) and negotiation with suppliers to obtain the best business terms (prices, delivery time, payment terms).
Prepare and formalize supply contracts, framework agreements and purchase orders, ensuring their compliance with company policies and standards.
Oversees the procurement of goods and services for all business functions, supporting business structures in preparing and managing documentation for expenditure approval resolutions.
Order management: Issue and monitor purchase request and orders for Finance department expendituresm while supervise purchase request and orders arriving from all the other Compnay’s department.
Supplier Performance Monitoring and Evaluation: Continuously monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, punctuality, service and contractual compliance. Conduct periodic reviews of performance to identify opportunities for improvement or renegotiation.Resolve any issues related to deliveries, service quality, or discrepancies from contractual statuiotions.
Cost and Budget Optimization: Analyze and monitor procurement expenditures to identify opportunities to reduce costs without compromising quality. Contribute to procurement budgeting and monitor compliance.
Internal Relations Management: Actively collaborate with various business departments to understand their needs and ensure appropriate supplies. Provide internal support and advice on procurement-related issues.
Administration and Reporting: Manage purchasing documentation (contracts and orders). Care for and maintain the archive and supplier list. Prepare periodic reports on procurement activities, savings achieved, and supplier performance.
Who Are We Looking For

- You have a Master’s degree in Management Engineering, Finance, Economics or any other related field in the role of Procurement Officer, with proven autonomy in managing the entire purchasing process. Experience in a lean structure or a versatile role is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of negotiation and contracting techniques.
- Strong familiarity with procurement ERP/management systems.
- Excellent knowledge of Office package, particularly Excel (for data analysis and reporting).Analytical Skills: Skill in analyzing supplier data, costs, and performance.
- Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken) for international supplier relations.
- You are dynamic and positive, with a proactive mind
- You possess profound interpersonal and communication skills
- Positive attitude towards challenges;
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English both verbally and written (min B2.2)
- Multicultural mindset and flexibility, able to work in an international environment
- Knowledge of the payment industry is a strong plus
- Integrity: High ethical sense and transparency in relationships.
