The Opportunity
Join a dynamic team dedicated to support the growth in full compliance with Worldline’s merchant risk policies safeguarding our financial forefront, where every day offers the chance to make an impact in the fight against money laundering and terrorism financing. We are seeking a AML Data Analyst Intern to join our team, reporting to the Head of First Line of Defense Risk and Compliance at Worldline Merchant Services Italia. Your role will play a crucial role in collecting, processing, and analyzing data to support business decision-making, to streamline operations and ensure compliance with the company's standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Reporting KYC: Gather data needed for AML KYC purposes from different business sources and prepare monthly reports detailing KYC information, ensuring weekly updates to reflect current review status in monthly committees;
- Reporting Internal Committee: Compile data related to KYC, Credit, and Fraud activities into an annual report file including statistics and updates from involved departments (Compliance, Operations, AML) on periodic basis;
- Reporting Business Information KPIs: Analyze Business Information KPIs in onboarding and ongoing merchant activities; Identify consumption trends or changes, highlighting concerns or improvement opportunities in relation to contractual consumption caps;
- Preparation of Functional Analysis Files for IT Implementations: Support internal Project Managers in the collaboration with Compliance, Operations, Information Technology to collect and document business requirements for different IT Implementation.
Who Are We Looking For

- Master's degree in Economics, Management, or Law;
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R);
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Basic knowledge of KYC and AML processes as a plus;
- Good level of English in speaking and writing.
