Global Ethics & Anti-Corruption Officer (F/M)

The Opportunity

The Ethics, Anti-Corruption & Third Party Compliance Officer comes under the umbrella of Worldline’s Global Compliance and more specifically within the Ethics & Anti-Corruption team. Ensuring that appropriate compliance processes on Ethics and Anti-Corruption are deployed worldwide.

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Be the point of contact with regard to compliance topics such as anti-corruption, business partners screening, gifts & invitations, conflict of interests, reporting, etc.. 
  • Manage the global risk management process, ensuring the roll out at local level with local compliance officers, drafting the global risk map, defining actions and follow-up on them
  • Execute due diligences on all kind of third parties/business relations
  • Manage relationship with other stakeholders (Sales, Legal, HR, Finance, Risk) at global and local level
  • Liaise with business and be flexible in case of urgent advices
  • Launch assessments to measure the compliance program implementation
  • Ensure correct activity reporting on compliance activities
  • Develop and implement written processes, guidelines and policies
  • Develop training communications & awareness in local language (code of ethics, anti-corruption, conflict of interests, outsourcing, third party due diligence)
  • Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve the implementation of internal controls related to prevention of corruption and fraud (testing activities on general compliance and anti-corruption controls)
  • Perform analysis and follow up on reported compliance alerts (whistleblowing)
  • Perform regulatory watch, initial assessment of the potential impact of regulatory changes and liaise with legal department or business on the strategy for deployment
  • Ensure internal and external audit recommendations related to Ethics and Anti-Corruption are acted upon
  • Prepare fully the reporting on Duty of Care (Devoir de Vigilance)
  • Ensure contribution to requirements and reporting of Corporate Social Responsibility Directive through consistent reporting and stakeholder engagement
  • Investigate and contribute to the implementation of new Compliance tools and applications by using new technology
  • Steering the implementation of Group projects

  • Competencies
    • Master in Law or Business Administration supplemented with a compliance-specific vocational course
    • Good knowledge of compliance requirements, practices and principles (e.g. EBA guidelines, SAPIN II, UK Bribery, UK modern Slavery, Ethics and compliance standards (ISO37001, ISO19600))
    • Knowledge about Human Rights and Corporate Social Responsibility
    • Ability to develop a thorough understanding of the company, its structures, markets  and products
    • Ability to present compliance topics to all levels, up to senior management
    • Eager to learn and develop
    • Real skills in taking ownership, autonomy, adaptability, diplomacy

  • Communication
    • Positive mental attitude is a must
    • Good communication, presentation and coordination skills
    • Experience in promoting awareness of compliance matters (ad hoc trainings, internal communication, answers questions from business)
    • Excellent professional oral and written skills in English are required. Professional knowledge of French and other languages is a plus.
  • Self-confidence
    • At least 4 years of experience in a similar function
    • Ability to work in an international and fast changing context
    • Ability to work and communicate with all levels in the company (from senior management to local project managers)
  • Good knowledge of MS-Office; SharePoint is a plus
