Role Overview
As an experienced tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software solutions within our card payment services. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting software development to deliver high-quality products. Your proactive approach and commitment to best practices in testing will help drive continuous improvement and successful project delivery.
Who Are We Looking For
Skilled testers who are passionate about ensuring high-quality software solutions and contributing to a collaborative team environment. In practice, this means:
- A university degree (master's/bachelor's) in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Practical experience in software testing or test automation (at least 4 years) in electronic payments and the payment lifecycle.
- Understanding of payment processing, acquiring systems, issuing systems, switching and authorization, credit/debit card transactions, mobile payments, POS/ATM transactions, and card management.
- Basic knowledge of Unix, bash, shell scripting, and other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
- Basic understanding of object-oriented programming in C++ , C# or Java is a plus.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies is an advantage.
- Experience with tools such as JIRA and Confluence is beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- High motivation, efficiency, and a proactive, self-reliant attitude.
- Open-minded and inquisitive, with strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Proficient in both oral and written English.
Key Responsibilities
- Create Test for testing the processing of electronic payments based on the "Worldline Pay Front Office" software suite.
- Coordinate requirements with the Service Delivery team.
- Design, build, and execute a comprehensive test plan with test cases and scenarios.
- Develop and review high-quality test scenarios, including input test data and expected results throughout all test phases.
- Plan and conduct both manual and automated testing, monitoring test runs and addressing software errors in collaboration with the Service Delivery and development teams.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts.
- Document the test plan and execution results, producing thorough test reports and participating in peer reviews.
- Implement standard processes and tools established by the organization, proactively promoting best practices in testing within the project team.
- Monitor and track defects across the testing lifecycle, reporting test results and conducting initial investigations of defects to propose solutions to developers or team leads.
- Support the development of testing capabilities and competencies within the testing practice.
- Identify risks and issues within your scope of responsibility, ensuring all risks and issues are documented with appropriate mitigation strategies and corrective actions.
- Write and maintain the Master Test Plan (Test Strategy) for projects.
- Plan, lead, follow up, and coach assigned test resources for projects, adhering to budget and milestone commitments.
- Address blocking issues and propose workarounds to expedite test execution.
- Write audit reports that include risk assessments.
- Validate test scripts produced by Application Testers and ensure complete end-to-end test coverage.
- Determine regression test sets at the end of the project cycle for non-regression readiness.
- Facilitate training and knowledge transfer for non-regression and maintenance purposes.
