The Opportunity

In the field of Digital Payments, we are looking for a Java Developer profile to join one of the squads of the Digital Products & Security Business (DPSB) department (FS/DS/ITA/DPSB) in order to:

• Contribute to the development of our solutions under the supervision of a lead dev engineer and in strong collaboration with our product owner and project manager

• Support the agile DevOps transformation initiated by Worldline by taking ownership of the software deployment pipeline management and driving software changes in close collaboration with our SysOps teams

Scope of the solutions managed by the squad:

• A token based solution used by a Belgian Scheme – Bancontact Payconiq - to ensure the digitalization of the cards and payments via Apple Pay in Belgium

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the development of new features and the enhancement of existing code.
• Write and execute unit, integration and functional tests to ensure the quality of developments.
• Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve bugs and technical issues.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with coding standards and code quality (Merge Requests).
• Maintain the solution (bug fixes, log analysis support, performance monitoring).
• Respond to alerts and incidents to minimize downtime and resolve issues promptly.
• Identify and fix security vulnerabilities in the code and infrastructure.
• Work on benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of existing systems.

Who Are We Looking For

• You have 10+ years of experience
• You are fluent in English
• You are skilled in back-end development
• You are skilled in cloud computing, preferably experienced with GCP
• You are skilled in Java, Spring and MySQL
• You have working experience with agile methods (Mostly SCRUMBAN…)
• You are a team player, enjoy collaborating and sharing your knowledge
• You can easily adapt to new situations, you are determined, curious and resourceful
