Long Description
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin
- Own multiple Android codebases, ensuring quality, performance, and maintainability
- Implement new features and enhancements, ensuring high performance, scalability, and usability
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, crashes, performance bottlenecks, and production issues
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver intuitive and engaging mobile experiences
- Integrate mobile applications with backend services, APIs, authentication systems, and third-party SDKs
- Participate in application architecture decisions, code reviews, testing, release management, and technical documentation
- Monitor application quality through analytics, logging, crash reporting, and performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with Android platform guidelines, security standards, and best practices
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Contribute to backend and API development activities when required, supporting the evolution of mobile and API platforms
- Support CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and application deployment processes
- Continuously improve development practices, maintainability, and release efficiency
Required Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing native Android applications
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java
- Solid understanding of Android architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture, MVC, etc.)
- Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs and backend services
- Experience with mobile debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization
- Familiarity with the Google Play Store publishing process
- Experience with Git-based development workflows
- Experience using Claude Code or alternative tools
- Knowledge of mobile security best practices and secure data handling
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Good communication skills in English
Preferred Skills
- Fullstack development experience across backend services, APIs, and cloud integration
- Experience managing multiple Android codebases simultaneously
- Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, DocumentDB or similar
- Experience with cloud platforms and services (AWS or Google Cloud)
- Exposure to microservices architectures and containerized deployments
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for mobile and backend applications
- Knowledge of usage of GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex
- Experience with push notifications, mobile analytics, crash reporting, and monitoring tools
Experience
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Android application development
- Proven experience delivering and maintaining production mobile applications
- Portfolio, published applications, Git repository, or examples of previous work are highly appreciated
