The Opportunity
Worldline is looking for an Application Engineer to join our Operating Team Centre that will support our MS Production Centres, including merchant and acquiring services, issuing, digital services, and account payments. You will play a crucial role in the quality assurance of the supplied software, installation of the software in the development environment and pre-production, and collaboration with developers to find and resolve bugs.

 

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Managing the Worldline Software in a customer-related setup.
  • Understanding security needs and the requirements of PCI and GDPR.
  • Contributing to the build, configuration, integration, and deployment of different software to production.
  • Interacting with internal Monitoring, Operations, and Development support functions to resolve production issues or refine processes.
  • Identifying and developing tools and techniques for improving alarming, monitoring, performance, and reliability of applications.
  • Reviewing application support documentation.
  • Understanding HA and DR concepts and optimizing switch-over scenarios for quick recovery.
  • Recording, analyzing, and evaluating requirements from internal and external customers.
  • Monitoring and controlling internal or external development.
  • Maintaining and further developing our current Online Transaction Platform and fleet card functionality.
  • Supporting in the further development of our EMV configuration and implementing technical acceptances with the German banking industry.
  • Creating specifications for system technology as per IT operations requirements.
  • Providing 3rd level support for error analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Planning and implementing tests for acceptance of new or modified system solutions.

 

 

Who Are We Looking For
We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:

  • Master or Bachelor degree in IT, Electronics or Industrial Engineering.
  • 3 to 6 Years of Exp
  • Advanced expertise in script development with Ansible, and experience converting Ansible to Puppet.
  • Very good knowledge of software deployment using Ansible or Puppet.
  • Good knowledge of SQL and bash scripting.
  • Experience in software quality assurance.
  • Good experience working with software developers.
  • Very good knowledge of Linux/Unix.
  • Preferred experience in the payment industry.

 

 

Skills We Can't Do Without:

  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience in IT and application support within a large and complex sector (e.g. payments or other digital industry).
  • Team-minded, assertive, and flexible.
  • Eager to learn with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to collaborate with multiple teams at an international scale.

  • Experience in testing, staging, and analysis of software.
  • Good knowledge and experience with software deployment and quality assurance.
