The Opportunity

Worldline is looking for a proactive and business-oriented legal counsel to join its legal team and support a dynamic and fast-evolving environment across Central & Eastern Europe. The position will have a strong focus on the Czech Republic, but will also involve providing support in Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Poland and Slovenia.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of agreements, including IT services agreement and general commercial agreements.
• Conduct legal research, prepare internal notes and advise management on key legal developments.
• Partner closely with the business and projects teams to identify legal needs and provide pragmatic, solution-oriented advice.
• Support strategic initiatives such a merchant migration, operational strategy review or partnership renegotiations.
• Advise on a wide range of regulatory and compliance matters, ensure alignment with applicable law and Worldline group policies.
• Oversee corporate governance matters (board meetings, shareholders’ meeting, statutory compliance etc.)
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal tools, templates and internal processes.

Who Are We Looking For

We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:

• Minimum of 6 years of experience and Master’s degree in law (or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of the Czech legal environment, knowledge of Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Poland and Slovenia are also considered as a plus
• Experience with regulated environments (payments/banking) would be an asset
• Excellent English for legal/business contexts (written and spoken)
• Curious, adaptable, collaborative team player; thrives in international environments; eager to share knowledge and build relationships across the group
