The Opportunity
For our financial department we are looking for a Junior Controller as soon as possible. In the department we are six colleagues serving two legal entities with accounting, financial analysis, intermediation cash flow management, and controlling.
You will work hybrid from our Prague office and report to our CFO.
We are looking for an analytical, ethical and knowledge hungry colleague to join our small and devoted team.
In the position you will be responsible for local finance controlling in Worldline Czech Republic, including budgeting, monthly closing and review, analysis, comparison between budget and actuals, and discussion with business owners.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Your typical responsibilities would be the following (but not limited to):
- run monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts
- support month-end and year-end close process
- collaborate with auditing services to ensure accurate compliance with all regulations
- assist the CFO in communicating reports to senior executives, partners, and board members
- develop and implement financial reporting systems/processes to align with government regulations and legislation
- develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
- conclude financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
Who Are We Looking For
We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:
- You have finished a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, business, finance, economics or a related field
- You possess high analytical and problem-solving skills
- You are an advanced and daily user of MS Excel
- You are a native Czech speaker/reader/writer
- Advantage if you have some experience in a financial accounting and/or controlling
