The opportunity
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Coordinating, supervising and organising all activities related to occupational health and safety at the plant,
- Constant supervision of occupational safety,
- Cooperating with relevant organisational units or managers, in particular in the area of organising and ensuring an appropriate level of training in occupational health and safety.
- Participating in the development of occupational risk assessments for individual job groups.
- Participation in determining the circumstances and causes of accidents at work and in developing conclusions based on the investigation of the causes and circumstances of these accidents and occupational diseases, as well as monitoring the implementation of these conclusions and preparing post-accident documentation for accidents at work and accidents equivalent to accidents at work
- Preparing an annual analysis of the health and safety situation at the workplace and submitting it to the employer for approval;
- Properly compiling and storing documents relating to accidents at work and occupational diseases, keeping the required records in this regard, correctly recording the results of workplace environment tests and properly storing these records;
- Cooperating with the authorities supervising working conditions: the National Labour Inspectorate, the National Sanitary Inspectorate and the Office of Technical Inspection;9. Representing the employer before the National Labour Inspectorate, the National Sanitary Inspectorate and the Regional Fire Brigade Headquarters.
- Participating in the work of the occupational health and safety committee appointed by the employer and other company committees dealing with occupational health and safety issues, including the prevention of occupational diseases and accidents at work;
- Providing opinions on detailed instructions concerning occupational health and safety at individual workstations and providing opinions on workstation instructions for the operation of machinery and equipment in the field of occupational health and safety;
- Participating in the development of draft internal regulations governing health and safety issues, with the exception of fire safety instructions, participating in the development of internal orders, regulations and general instructions concerning health and safety, and in determining the tasks of persons managing employees in the field of health and safety;
- Forwarding initial health and safety training cards, periodic health and safety training documentation, and statements of familiarisation with occupational risks and health and safety regulations to personnel managers;
- Organising work in accordance with health and safety rules;
Who are we looking for
- Health and Safety Specialist with strong experience in coordinating and supervising occupational health and safety activities at industrial plants.
- Experience in developing and implementing internal health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to organize and manage training programs; capability to assess training needs and ensure appropriate level of training.
- Competence in preparing annual health and safety analyses and presenting to management.
- Strong documentation skills: handling records of accidents, occupational diseases, and workplace environment tests.
- Experience cooperating with supervisory authorities
- Ability to prepare opinions on workstation instructions and machinery/equipment operation from a safety perspective.
- Skills in coordinating with personnel managers and organizing work in compliance with health and safety rules.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Higher education in a related field (preferred) and relevant certifications in health and safety (e.g., BHP,) are advantageous.
- Proficiency in Polish and English
