Payment Partnership Manager

The opportunity

The Payment Partnership Manager is part of the Data & Shared Services team within Worldline MS CPO[OM1]  organization. The partner[OM2]  team plays a key role in the development of the service and payment strategy of the different acquiring, ecommerce and instore platforms and product channels. A Payment Partnership Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of the commercial and strategic relationships with third party payment suppliers from which we buy and/or in-source services. These vendors or suppliers mainly consist of payment methods, banks, acquirers and payment gateways.

The Payment Partnership Manager builds, develops and manages a portfolio of alternative payment products with his [OM3] partners to develop and grow the business and profitability within Worldline’s Merchant Services GBL[OM4] .

We are always looking to develop Worldlines portfolio of payment products to anticipate merchant and market needs. To create compelling product proposals, we are collaborating with different internal teams and our partners. We are only satisfied when products, services, procedures and actions are in place to enable the go-to-market launch and guarantee operational smoothness of the partnership.  

 

 

Your day-to-day responsibilities include

  • Develop strategic relationships with your portfolio of payment partners to ensure commercial and operational performance throughout the different platforms and channels.
  • Monitor the profitability and performance of your partners and take necessary actions where needed
  • Use your knowledge of the payment landscape (online as well as instore) to anticipate and answer customer needs related to your portfolio of partners and turn these in[OM7]  actionable plans
  • Negotiate commercial terms and conditions for all business and development of your partners[OM8] 
  • Team up with product managers, sales and operational teams to propose optimization of the portfolio, (regional) coverage, market segments and functionalities to increase conversion rate and financial performance
  • Manage the Lifecycle of products related to your partner together with the stakeholders
  • Work closely with the Risk, Compliance, Client Operations and Legal teams to ensure end to end coverage of the products or services you are responsible for

Through collaboration with other departments in the business, you will build our reputation as a trusted partner and thought leader in the digital payment space. 

  • You monitor the payment landscape, online, instore and everything in between to build new partnerships that help Worldline answering merchant/market needs
  • You ensure the targeted revenues and margins
  • You guarantee the product and service quality is above client expectations

Skills we can't do without:

  • You enjoy negotiating commercials, required product features as well operational set up
  • You've got substantial knowledge of vendor management and/or procurement
  • Ability to structure complex topics and translate business needs towards partners and internal stakeholders
  • Fluency in English and one other European language required, written and spoken
  • Strong customer focus and result oriented
  • Ability to combine short term results with long term partnership development
