The opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Manager - Operational Risk to support the Second Line of Defense (2LoD) Operational Risk Program across our fintech and payment operations. The role will focus on identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting operational risks across payment processing, settlements, merchant acquiring, finance, and technology functions.

Day-to-day responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and enhancement of the Operational Risk Management Framework.
  • Maintain risk registers, risk and control matrices, and risk taxonomies.
  • Conduct operational risk assessments and monitor key risk indicators.
  • Manage operational risk incidents, root cause analysis, remediation tracking, and reporting.
  • Partner with Operations, IT, Information Security, Compliance, and Product teams to strengthen risk controls.
  • Coordinate third-party and vendor risk assessments.
  • Support internal control reviews and process improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare risk dashboards, governance reports, and presentations for senior management and risk committees.

Who are we looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in Operational Risk, Internal Controls, Risk Management, or Compliance within Fintech, Payments, Banking, or Financial Services.
  • Experience in payment operations, settlements, merchant acquiring, or transaction banking is preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with risk management tools (Archer, MetricStream, SAP GRC) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau preferred.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of payment ecosystems, fraud controls, AML/KYC, data privacy, and PCI-DSS requirements is desirable.
