The candidate will report to the Head of Customer Operations and this position requires minimum 5 years of experience in an equivalent the position and similar market segment.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
General
the overall direction of your assigned solution portfolio according to the priorities assigned by business
the harmonization of our solution portfolio with the corporate solution portfolio
the coordination of our project activities with both nearshore and external partners
the design and integration of our solutions with the customers’ operating environment
guiding members of the development team during the implementation of complex development models
advising the support team when they will be facing complex customer issues
Pre-Sales
support to the Sales/Business Development function explaining both the business and the technical advantages of our solutions, with both documents and presentations
providing customers with clear architectural view of our solutions and their evolution
support to Sales when answering tenders
performing requirements analysis
delivering technical assessment of opportunities and feasibility analysis (e.g. base products available, adaptations doable at the right cost/time)
estimating both implementation and deployment costs/time/risks
advising on designing rapid prototypes and demos
Solution Design
Implements a detailed architecture of a proposed solution
Writes Business Requirements and High-Level Specifications documents, that will be the input deliverables to the project development team (to generate a detailed specification) and to QA (for requirements validation).
Enforces reusability requirements, so that we minimize future developments
Enforces supportability requirements, so later it will be easier for the support team to target the cause of the problem
Guidance to Support
Performing joint problem analysis with support, for complex situations
providing guidance to identify the source of the problem
providing support during solution qualification
Signs of success
• Three key concepts: standardize, standardize, standardize. The Solution Architect will establish an operating framework to reuse as much as possible of our developments, minimally the architectural framework
• Packaged solutions, will be his/her preference: less risky to deploy and easier to maintain for support
• Oversee the correct design and implementation of our solutions
• Ensure the adherence of the solution to business requirements and specifications
Skills we can’t do without:
• Proven successful working experience in the design of complex applications
• Good client-facing communication skills (English)
• Good written and verbal communication skills (English)
• Practical organizational skills to help in the selection and coordination of the development team
• Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
Skills we’d like:
• Ability to design solutions via architectural diagrams and use-cases to explain the solution both to our customers and to the development team, thus avoiding incorrect expectations at deployment
