The opportunity:

The Point of Interaction (POI) Engineering serves as a bridge between the customer requirements and their technical implementation. We are responsible for defining functions and interfaces for the integration of electronic cash registers (physical, mobile, cloud based) with our card payment solutions as well as other new cashless payment systems.

This includes the engineering (concepts, architecture, specification), development, testing and maintenance of our protocol converter application and APIs on various platforms for the integration of said systems. The quality assurance is achieved with the help of our internal automated and simulator based testing infrastructure.

Hence, our team is responsible for the whole chain of the realization of development and customer projects (analysis, feasibility, implementation) up to the handover to the integration engineering at the customer.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​:

• Take over knowhow for the whole ECR integration solution for a library (TIM API) and a protocol converter application (TIM Server) to ensure business continuity.
• Extend and maintain our build system in SCons with Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.
• Prepare knowhow transfer for the whole ECR integration solution of TIM to upcoming WL internal colleagues (create learnings, conduct coaching sessions etc.).
• Development and extension of new and existing cross-platform APIs in the area of the interface between the cash register and payment terminal for cashless payment systems.
• Further development and maintenance of our protocol converter application for the connection of payment terminals to international cash register systems.
• Support in the further development of the test infrastructure for automated testing and creation of test cases.
• Technical analysis of customer requirements, creating technical specifications and designs based on them and development of solution concepts in a national and international environment, technical requirements engineering in projects.
• Technical advisory and support function for the related areas of product management and integration engineering.

Who Are We Looking For:

• Completed technical studies (Uni / FH) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Electrical Engineering or a comparable training with relevant professional experience.
• Advanced knowledge in C/C++ or in Java/Kotlin for Android (with basic know-how in C/C++).
• Further knowledge of C#/.Net, Swift, JavaScript is a given.
• Experience in modeling with UML/SysML for specification tasks (with a corresponding certifications) is a plus.
• Knowledge of GIT for development is a must.
• Experience with multiple platforms, especially Windows, Linux, and Android
• Experience with Jira/Confluence as well as with Agile/Scrum development is desirable.
• Proficiency in English is a must and good knowledge of German or French is desirable.
• Enjoying coordination with national and international colleagues and partners
• Industry know-how in the field of cashless payment systems and chip card technology (EMV) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking.
• Strong educational flair and experience in knowledge sharing and teaching.
