Lead Data Scientist

Objective

  • Leverage statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms to analyze large datasets, extract insights, and develop predictive models.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, communicate findings through visualizations and reports, and continuously explore new methodologies to drive data-driven decision-making and innovation.

Activity

Data Analysis and Modeling
  • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and insights within the data to extract meaningful information. This involves exploratory data analysis, hypothesis testing, and developing predictive models.
 
Machine Learning and AI Development
  • Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and artificial intelligence models to solve complex business problems.
  • Design and train models using various techniques such as supervised and unsupervised learning, natural language processing, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.
 
Feature Engineering and Data Preparation
  • Preprocess and transform raw data into suitable formats for analysis. This includes feature selection, dimensionality reduction, data normalization, and handling missing values.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to ensure efficient data pipelines and data quality.
 
Data Visualization and Communication
  • Create visualizations and reports.
  • Present complex data in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to identify key insights and help drive data-driven decision-making.
 
Research and Innovation
  • Conduct research to enhance existing models, discover new algorithms, and improve data science techniques within the organization.
  • Contribute to open-source projects and participate in industry conferences and communities.

  • Good communication skills for interacting effectively with both business and technical development teams
  • Good knowledge of BI systems and an ability to take feed-back with users and coordinate with them for improving the layout and functionalities of your system
  • Master of Sciences degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Data Science, Quantitative marketing, Econometrics, Quantitative finance or similar)
  • Very good knowledge of data manipulation and analysis using SQL BI systems or python.
  • Excellent understanding of relational model for database management and data modelling principles (conceptual/logical data models)
  • Good knowledge of either R, Python, SAS or similar statistical software
  • Knowledge of either JavaScript is a plus
  • Good command of English required; fluency in French beneficial
