The Opportunity
As a manager, your mission will be to coordinate several teams involved in designated financial areas to secure the high-quality & timely delivery of Intermediation Accounting activities. This includes developing and maintaining a high-performance culture, ensure the appropriate level of competence and motivation within the teams. If you have a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement, while also ensuring the seamless execution of essential, recurring day to day and month-end tasks, this is the role for you.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a first priority, you will focus on designing the architecture for our stablecoin distribution product, for our financial institutions clients. Your objective is to enable rapid prototyping while keeping a long-term industrialization mindset.
- Oversee Intermediation Accounting: Manage several teams in charge with all aspects of Intermediation accounting operations, including scheme reconciliation, account reconciliations (clearing and/or settlement accounts), bank allocation for intermediation accounts, payments to merchants/schemes and reporting.
- Deliverable Coordination: Ensure timely delivery of required outputs in alignment with SLAs, project specifications, company standards, and industry practices, while adhering to Finance guidelines and KPIs.
- Operational Support: Provide guidance and advice to the team, applying principles and strategies to enhance Intermediation accounting activities, while at the same time making sure the strategic direction and guidance from upper management is being properly implemented.
- Task Implementation: Lead initiatives to improve backlog related to intermediation activity across all regions while improving quality and stakeholder experience.
- Process Improvement: Drive the reengineering of processes to streamline workflows, enhance automation, and improve data accuracy
- Task Supervision: Oversee intermediation accounting tasks and KPI’s in strong coordination with team managers/team leads.
- Operations Point of Contact: Serve as the second level escalation point for technical/operational queries to prevent business disruptions.
- Guidance and Leadership: Offer direction and support based on established objectives and team needs.
- Schedule Compliance: Maintain accuracy and integrity in the monthly, quarterly, and annual activity schedules, including closing processes.
- Professional Relationships: Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the finance function. Communicate effectively and diplomatically with stakeholders at all levels, articulating positions clearly and persuasively
- Team Development: Mentor and coach team members, focusing on performance development and conducting regular 1-on-1 meetings.
- Performance Reviews: Manage the Performance Review process for your direct reports, summarizing achievements and providing ratings.
- Onboarding Support: Assist team managers in the onboarding of new team members, offering guidance and support.
- Hiring Participation: Engage in the hiring process, including candidate screening, interviews, and providing hiring recommendations/decisions.
- Administrative Duties: Handle administrative tasks such as vacations, days off, and other team-related administrative matters, for your direct reports.
Who Are We Looking For
We seek engineers with pragmatism and vision, driven by execution and bringing product to the market.
- Educational background in Economics, Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Have at least 5+ years of professional experience as a Finance Operations Manager
- Experience in managing and mentoring finance teams.
- Strong knowledge of reconciliation accounting processes and principles
- SAP Knowledge and MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point etc.)
- Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written
- Experienced in working within cross-functional and matrix environments, demonstrating a rigorous and detail-oriented approach
- Proactive and resilient with the ability to navigate complex situations
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage work assignments, ensuring deadlines are met while handling sensitive and confidential matters
- Proficient in advanced English
