The Opportunity
In the role of Country HR Director Belgium, you will lead the HR function with an objective to be an employer of choice in the payment and tech industries.
You will be responsible for delivering the HR strategy defined by the Group and its different business lines and provide end-to-end employee - and manager experience.
You will be leading and developing an HR team of 10-15 people, covering a group of local HRBPs, administration & payroll, labor relations professionals.
This role requires strong negotiation skills to effectively engage with works councils and employee representative bodies, ensuring seamless alignment between global HR strategies and local requirements. As the group operates in a matrix organization, it is necessary to be experienced in stakeholder management and collaboration with peers.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Translate Group HR strategy into local implementation
- Be the driving force behind our HR transformation agenda, demonstrating a change mindset, helping shape the future state and ensuring people are equipped to operate it.
- Collaborate with employee representatives in a constructive manner to help articulate and drive change
- Work closely with business leaders and global HRBP’s to support locally the achievements of organizational goals
- Align Group HR policies with local requirements and define a social strategy
- Ensure accurate delivery of payroll and administration. Manage local operations’ team and liaise with Romania-based HR Services Center
- Lead engagement initiatives, develop action plans, and foster an inclusive work culture to make Worldline in Belgium an employer of choice
- Drive compliance with HR budget, maintain data quality, and provide actionable insights through HR metrics
Who Are We Looking For

- Experienced HR leader (+10 years) with strong transformation and change management capabilities
- Proven influencing and negotiation skills
- Proven track record in negotiation with work councils and employee representative bodies to support transformation and change
- Innovative approach and agile thinking
- Experience in navigating complex organizational dynamics in a matrix organization and delivering sustainable stakeholder value
- Strong knowledge of local employment laws and experience in aligning global HR policies with local requirements
- Strategic mindset with ability to drive HR performance through KPIs
- Proficient in Dutch, French and English. Experienced using these languages in a professional, cross-cultural context.
