The Opportunity
Group Financial Crime Compliance Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing and monitoring Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, Counter Terrorism Financing obligations in accordance with regulatory requirements, as guided by Group and local FCC officers, and in alignment with the current Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) framework. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the correct implementation of Group FCC controls and to safeguard the organization from financial crime compliance breaches by thoroughly assessing policies, procedures, operational processes and tools.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess on entity level Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) obligations derived from regulatory requirements to ensure full compliance with Group and local compliance officers' guidance.
- Collaborate closely with Group and local FCC officers in the FCC controls related projects.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive control assessment to ensure FCC measures are properly implemented across the organization.
- Conduct control testings and assessments to verify the adequacy and effectiveness of FCC controls.
- Collaborate effectively with relevant stakeholders to establish control mechanisms within operational processes and tools.
- Identify potential FCC risks and vulnerabilities within the FCC framework and provide recommendations for risks mitigation.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement action plans, together with stakeholders, within operational FCC processed.
- Recommend enhancements to streamline FCC processes and ensure their efficiency.
- Ensure that processes are well-documented and aligned with internal and external requirements.
- Prepare regular reports on FCC key performance indicators to the Group Chief Financial Crime officer.
- Assist in the preparation of other relevant reports, participate in on-going projects, as required.
Who Are We Looking For

- Advanced degree or professional certification in FCC (AML/CFT/Sanctions) is a Must
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in financial crime prevention, preferably in a multinational organization.
- Familiarity with Controls environment and conduct of Control testing, reviews and assessments
- In-depth knowledge of AML regulations and industry best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and assess FCC related risks, and suggest effective mitigating measures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- High ethical standards and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory.
