The Opportunity

The Senior Business Analyst is a senior role responsible to translate business requirements into solution designs, focussing on optimization and implementations for our core payments processing systems.

 

We are seeking for a Senior Business Analyst with outstanding expertise across payments processing infrastructures, both for STP and manual processing scope, with main focus on our core processing platform Payments 2.0.

 

You are responsible for initiatives to design payments processing functionalities, enhancing our existing Payments 2.0 processing framework and bridging between client- and WL-based components, to obtain a well-functioning, robust and high-performant end-to-end processing infrastructure for the serviced clients.

 

Special focus will be on enhancement of our existing payments processing core system Payments 2.0, to ensure seamless daily payments business for our clients.

 

This role involves in-depth and long-term knowhow on payments processing frameworks and the ambition to design highly efficient functional enhancements in cooperation with other senior roles like architects, developers, and tester – all internal as well as external to WL.

 

The Senior Business Analyst collaborates closely with stakeholders at the client side or WL own operating units to understand business needs, drives continuous improvement, and ensures successful implementation of the technical solutions.

 

Maintaining both stability of the daily business and driving future optimizations are the key focus areas. The position asks for a professional technical expert acknowledging the criticality of the business for the customer. Your in-depth knowledge of the European payments processing schemes and the WL Payments 2.0 application framework will be a fundamental basis for this opportunity.

 

The bandwidth of the needs skillset covers the entire Payments 2.0 functional stack as well as strong communication skills to interact with various stakeholders, internal and external to WL.

 

You will be key to translate complex business requirements into robust technical solutions.

  • You have a Master’s degree in Business Administration or Information Technology and at least 10 years of work experience in the relevant payments business perimeter
  • You have proven experience, demonstrating a track record as a Business Analyst designing complex, large-scale and business critical solutions
  • You have proven your ability to work in a complex business environment as vital part of the value chain of clients in the financial industry
  • You have organizational talent, high own initiative, and high analytical skills
  • You can act professionally in a demanding software delivery and production environment
  • You have the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • You have the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at senior levels

From an subject matter perspective, the following skills are essential:

 

  • In-depth knowledge of the Payments 2.0 processing framework
  • Long-term experience in the payments industry sector, ideally in SEPA, SWIFT and MX payments processing
  • Strong experience with the design of mission-critical processing systems
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and Jira or similar tools
  • Experience on orchestrating between business requirements and software development
  • Ability to grasp complex issues quickly and confidently, as well as the capacity to convey them in an intelligible manner
  • Ability to collaborate with developers, master data teams and testers
