The Opportunity
The SEPA Batch Tribe connects DevOps teams delivering end-to-end batch processes in SEPA environments with the customer. The goal is a holistic view of the business, transparency of internal workflows, and maximum customer value along the roadmap. The focus is on sales-oriented product coordination, market engagement, and customer satisfaction.
As Chief Product Owner, you will orchestrate product development in the SEPA Batch domain, harmonizing vision, market needs, and customer requirements, and prioritizing the backlog to maximize customer value and revenue potential. You will work closely with Sales, Solutions, Area Product Owners, Architects, and Product Managers, as well as other stakeholders, to support sales objectives, identify market opportunities, and deliver customer-centric solutions—regionally focused but aligned with the global strategy.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop a market-driven vision that supports revenue, growth, and customer retention goals; deliver a roadmap that includes sales opportunities
- Collaborate with Sales, CRO, Solutions, and Area Product Owners to identify customer needs, qualify offerings, and refine requirements
- Prioritize features based on customer value, market trends, complexity, and ROI; define KPI-based success criteria
- Responsible for product quality and customer satisfaction across the value chain, including security standards
- Primary point of contact for CRO colleagues in the region; clarify requirements with internal/external customers; first-level escalation owner for build/run issues
- Interface with Architects, Product Management, and the Agile Community; promote best practices, security standards, and continuous improvement
- Identify new market segments, develop go-to-market strategies with Sales, support pricing/loyalty models and proposals
- Establish training paths, develop materials for juniors to seniors, and foster communities of practice
Who Are We Looking For

- University degree in business, engineering, or equivalent; outstanding academic record
- Strong knowledge of SEPA payments, payment services, and relevant batch/batch processing concepts; SEPA-specific concepts are a plus
- Sales orientation: strong requirements engineering, solution definition, stakeholder management, presentation, and conflict resolution; proven track record in sales success
- Fluency in German and English; additional languages are advantageous
- Experience with Scrum/Agile environments; strong collaboration with sales, solution teams, and customers
- Deep knowledge of SEPA business and local customer base; customer orientation, negotiation skills, resilience in an international setting
