At Worldline, delivering an awesome payment experience that our customers love is what we live for. Our cloud-native acquiring platform is processing billions of card transactions including authorization processing and clearing and settlement for our customers to trust. Currently, we are looking for a skilled product-oriented DevOps Engineer to team up with one of our empowered product DevOps teams. 

 

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

 

Our autonomous teams work with a lean product focused DevOps culture that continuously delivers true outcome, and if you build it, you run it! This means that you are responsible for  

Active participation and contribution in all phases of the product lifecycle including discovery, delivery and operations. 

 

  • Delivering your team’s committed objectives, adapting to whatever is needed to reach the goal you and your team have committed yourselves to reach

 

  • Participate in your team’s day-to-day activities including software development, operations, application monitoring, maintenance and support in addition to being an active member in our agile events like daily stand-ups, planning meetings, retrospectives and demos etc. 

 

  • Collaborating with and helping developers in the team, for example by doing code reviews, participating in pair programming and by sharing your knowledge

 

You love identifying the outcomes to be achieved together with your team, our customers, internal users, other stakeholders and suppliers to deliver a truly outstanding acquiring processing experience for our customers and our business to love.

  • You are comfortable in a fast-moving and agile culture – handling many different stakeholders, prioritizations and fast decisions is not an issue for you

 

 

What we can’t do without

 

  • 3+ years confirmed experience in software development. You know Python well enough to write applications for production use. You are comfortable working with relational databases (SQL). You are also comfortable working with version control (using Git, for example)

 

  • A deep understanding of software quality assurance principles (and preferably experience in test automation)

 

  • Deep knowledge of software architecture and design including information security and experience from high-availability API platforms

 

  • Experience of developing and maintaining microservices (preferably both server-based and serverless) that are used in production

 

  • Practical experience from working with Amazon Web Services, preferably with infrastructure-as-code via tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. You are familiar with services such as S3, SQS, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS and ECS

 

  • Experience of working with Docker, preferably in Amazon ECS

 

  • Experience from CI/CD production deployment using Jenkins pipelines (or similar)

 

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering or another related field

 

  • Full working proficiency in Swedish and/or English

 

  • Valid working permit for Sweden (office location is Stockholm with hybrid work model)

 

  • Experience of working with Java is a plus

 

 

Skills we’d like

 

  • Experience from DevOps ways of working and culture including fostering the DevOps culture, automation, lean flow, measurement, and recovery

 

  • You should have experience of – or be ready to learn – React

 

  • Paying attention to commitment, accountability and result for yourself and for your team

 

  • Experience from developing secure and/or PCI-DSS certified solutions is considered an advantage

 

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities

 

  • A technical mindset with phenomenal attention to detail

 

  • Having a curious mindset, continuously learning and sharing your knowledge with your peers and others
