Linux Administrator– Based in our office in Dalgety Bay, Scotland.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Ensure 150+ Linux servers are administrated, patched, related incidents resolved promptly, solutions are well documented, and control changes are performed.
  • Manage Linux server permission.
  • Maintain and configure DRBD for KVM servers.
  • Perform failover between datacentres using DRBD technology
  • Maintain and configure Opensource solutions like Stunnel, reverse proxy, and Zabbix
  • Maintain various virtual infrastructures primarily on KVM and VMware technologies.
  • Build Linux VM .
  • Build Dockers containers for Linux and maintenance.
  • Build and Maintain dell storage and dell servers
  • Closely work with project and development teams to facilitate a good dev, test, and prod environment for various projects.
  • Adopt and support other technologies as business demands.

 

Signs of success:

  • You deliver and maintain Linux and DRBD Infrastructure.
  • You tackle issues related to VMware and Dell servers and SAN. 
  • You seek opportunities for continuous improvements.

 

Skills we can’t do without:

  • A diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer or business discipline is preferable, but a solid track record may suffice in the absence of formal qualifications.
  • You have profound experience in Linux Administration, Patching, DRBD, KVM, VMware, and iDRAC management. 

 

Skills we’d like:

  • Solid knowledge of Python, Shell scripting,
  • You have a validated understanding of IT operation support, ITIL.
