The Opportunity
We are seeking a versatile DevOps Software Engineer to help us to build scalable, secure and innovative solutions.
The Core Foundation & Integration Tribe (CFI) implements and delivers the Issuing core applications, from Card Issuing lifecycle to Transactions clearing & settlement. With over 150 million cards and 1.16 billion monthly transactions, our platforms operate at the forefront of capacity and performance.
As DevOps Software Engineer, you will integrate into a diverse, agile, and collaborative cross-cultural team consisting of business analysts, tech leads, developers, fellow devops Engineers and testers. You will play a pivotal role by proposing & implementing solutions to ensure robustness, scalability and future readiness of our assets.

Profile:
- Location: Pune
- Relevant experience: 6 to 10 Years
- Education: B Tech, BE, MCA, MTech, MSc
Day-to-Day Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain the CFI applications, its interfaces and development pipelines, with focus on development & unitary tests environments till beginning of integration tests.
- Technical ownership of all our systems in true DevOps spirit where we are responsible for all parts of the software lifecycle such as requirements, platform expansion, security, architecture, technology selection, development, testing and monitoring support
- Track & solve software vulnerabilities.
- Maintain platform architecture consistency, define standards & consistent approach for continuous integration, automation of build and unitary tests.
- Optimize performance, security, and cost efficiency of our systems & applications.
- Be an active member of our team and interact with many external stakeholders.
Key Skills: What we are looking for
We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, distributed systems, software engineering, or another equivalent field
- Experimented profile of 5+ on job experience, with broad technical skills (java application development & production support, db, system, network, security) in Cloud based infrastructure, ideally GCP & AWS, and strong experiences in DevOpSolutions & tooling : gitlab-ci, Terraform, Puppet, Docker, Ansible, ArgoCD, PostgreSQL, Big Query, Kafka, API Gee
- Passionate about learning new things and staying up to date in modern development frameworks and methodologies.
- Practical background in Java application installation
- Experience in manual and/or automated testing
- OS: Linux; PostgreSQL; Python
- Cloud oriented: GCP or other provider could be a plus (i.e. AWS)
- Cloud management tools: Terraform, Puppet, Gitlab
- Cloud container solutions: Docker, Nginx, HA Proxy, etc..
- Batch scheduling experience (Apache Airflow or Batch on GCP) is considered a plus
- Knowledge about payment processing flows is an advantage
- Excellent written and spoken English (C1); additional languages (French, German) are appreciated.
