The Opportunity

The Core Foundation & Integration Tribe (CFI) implements and delivers the Card Issuing core applications, from Card Issuing lifecycle to Transactions clearing & settlement to hundred of banks. With over 150 million cards and 1.16 billion monthly transactions, our platforms operate at the forefront of capacity and performance.

We are seeking a Cloud and Platform Architect & Product Lead to spearhead the evolution of our Internal Developer Platform (IDP). You will be at the forefront of defining and driving the future of developer experience and cloud architecture within our organization. This is a unique opportunity to bridge the gap between architectural excellence and product leadership, shaping the very foundation upon which our Issuing solutions are built and delivered.

You will be the ultimate advocate for our developer community, translating their complex needs and challenges into a compelling product vision and a clear architectural roadmap. You will not only design the IDP itself but also influence the underlying cloud infrastructure to ensure our Issuing applications are built with security, scalability, and performance

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

• Define and communicate a compelling product vision and strategy for our Internal Developer Platform (IDP), ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and the "North Star" of Developer Experience.
• Take a lead role in architecting the core components and services of the IDP, covering areas like CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, observability, and internal developer tools. Ensure these architectures are scalable, secure, and resilient.
• Be the primary voice of the developer community. Conduct extensive user research (interviews, surveys, workshops) with engineers to deeply understand their pain points, needs, and aspirations.
• Based on developer insights and architectural vision, build and maintain a prioritized product roadmap and backlog for the IDP, collaborating closely with SPE squad leads to translate strategy into actionable initiatives.
• Leverage your deep Cloud Architecture expertise to guide the adoption of cloud-native patterns and services while maintaining cost efficiency and operational excellence for our core Issuing solutions.
• Drive the adoption of architectural best practices,standards, and platform governance through collaboration with the Architect community,
• Define and track key metrics (e.g., developer satisfaction, lead time reduction, platform adoption) to demonstrate the impact. Communicate progress and strategy effectively to all stakeholders, from developers to executive leadership.
  
  

Who Are We Looking For

We look for people who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:

• 10+ years of proven experience in software engineering and cloud architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within Platform Product Management, Developer Experience, or a similar capacity within a large-scale, modern engineering organization.
• Deep, hands-on expertise as a Cloud Architect, with a strong understanding of cloud-native patterns (Kubernetes, Serverless), Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), and microservices architectures across major cloud providers (GCP/AWS/Azure). Your experience extends to optimizing cloud infrastructure for high-capacity and performance Issuing platforms.
• Demonstrable Product Management acumen with a track record of defining product and architecture visions, building roadmaps. You understand how to treat developers as your primary customers.
• You are a master at influencing without direct authority, building consensus among diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders, and advocating for the developer community.
• While this is a product and architecture role, you possess a strong technical background that allows you to engage deeply with engineering teams on architectural decisions and technical challenges related to our Issuing applications.
• A systems thinker who can identify systemic bottlenecks and design platform solutions that benefit the entire engineering organization, not just individual teams.
• Passionate about Developer Experience (DevEx). You are genuinely obsessed with improving developer productivity, happiness, and reducing cognitive load, seeing it as a key driver for business value.
• Fluent in flow metrics (Lead Time, Cycle Time, Deployment Frequency, MTTR) and understand how to use data to identify systemic problems and measure the impact of platform improvements.
• Full professional proficiency in English is essential to drive change in our international environment. Proficiency in French is a significant plus.
