As a Performance Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing the performance and scalability of applications on cloud environments to optimize their performance, solutions, and products. You will play a crucial role in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, ensuring that applications run efficiently and meet performance requirements. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and optimization of our systems.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

• Design and execute performance testing strategies for applications deployed on cloud environments
• Identify and analyze performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and potential optimization opportunities
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement performance improvements based on test results
• Develop and execute test plans, test scripts, and performance scenarios
• Use performance testing tools and methodologies to measure, analyze, and report application performance
• Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively detect performance issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive performance optimization efforts
• Provide insights and recommendations for enhancing system performance and scalability
• Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging performance testing technologies

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in performance testing tools and methodologies
• Strong understanding of performance testing strategies for cloud-based applications
• Experience with performance monitoring and profiling tools
• Proficiency in scripting and coding for performance testing automation tasks
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Passion for driving continuous improvement and optimization of application performance

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in performance testing, particularly for cloud-based applications
• Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies and best practices
• Proven experience in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or BlazeMeter
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
