The Opportunity
You can expect an exciting task as Site Reliability Engineer (m/f/d) in the Technical Application Management based in Frankfurt am Main location where you are working from Romania. We operate sophisticated systems that function around the clock and thus ensure that the associated payment transaction processing between cardholders, banks and merchants takes place efficiently and on time.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- You will take over the second level support in the area of Issuing Application-Support and, in particular, will look after Linux- and Cloudbased applications.
- You will support the ongoing operation of existing applications and actively participate in their further development through migrations and changes.
- Incident and problem management is carried out according to ITIL
- You will prepare and maintain the required operating documentation
- You will be responsible for the implementation of monitoring and act as the main contact person for internal colleagues regarding questions about the applications in your scope
- You will also be involved in project work for the applications you support, with the aim of putting new applications into production
- Identification and implementation of measures and procedures to ensure performance and availability fall within your area of responsibility
Who Are We Looking For

- A completed (technical) university degree in the field of computer science or comparable qualification
- First professional experience in dealing with infrastructure and support requirements
- Sound experience with applications on LINUX servers and Google Cloud
- Good knowledge of shell scripting and SQL as well as a basic understanding of Oracle databases
- You are fit with web servers, application servers and servlet containers (Apache, JBoss, ...)
- Monitoring, HTML and XML knowledge desirable
- Proficient English skills are required
- You are willing to work on-call routine biweekly
