The NetOps FS Department is part of the business line Production Services who is in charge of the transversal IT infrastructures used to run the services provided to our customers. Multiple teams distributed over different countries (France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Belgium and may be more in future) make up the network environment.
You will be part of this transversal department working closely in relationship with France, Germany, Netherlands, Italy and Belgium
The Network team is responsible for running, designing, configuring and implementing network infrastructures. Customer focus must be the number one mindset.
The team is working in complex multi-disciplinary infrastructures mainly consist of Cisco switches (IOS & NXOS), routers and Checkpoint firewalls and F5 load balancers. Knowledge of either one of the technologies is required. The team is responsible for the entire network infrastructure including the security part (implementation)
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Work closely with the areas of IT infrastructure, IT security and application management (consulting, troubleshooting);
- Support incident management in your tier one support function for network infrastructure;
- Stay in close communication with external suppliers and control them as part of supplier management;
- Monitor KPIs and report on IT infrastructure and IT security management;
- Support implementation and monitoring and monitor compliance with requirements;
- Support the evaluation of new IT solutions in line with the IT strategy;
- Support the operation, administration and expansion of the existing network and security infrastructure (Cisco Nexus, Checkpoint and F5);
- Assess new requests based on architecture standards , policies and regulation;
- Design and implementation of Low Level (detailed) Designs, test and acceptance of (new) network infrastructures and tooling;
- Align designs with other Teams within the Technical Engineering department.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of major incidents;
- Prepare (plan) network changes for CAB approval and deployment;
- Deploy network changes;
- Point out bottlenecks and formulate advices;
- Advise internal and external relations regarding optimization and infrastructure components by participating in Domain Committees in order to align Global architectures;
- Work effectively to complete assignments in group settings;
- Manage network projects/assignment in compliance with different standards & processes;
- Suggest & participate in continuous improvement topics with in the Network department
- Work cooperatively to achieve common goals, act in the interest of the organization without letting personal interests prevail;
- Take a co-operative approach with a positive attitude with others and share information and knowledge;

- Implement changes out of office hours and be available for standby duties on a rotating schedule.
Who Are We Looking For

- Higher vocational education or work & thinking level;
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Network Engineer. Sound experience in a complex, preferably international, environment is definitely a plus
- Knowledge of several processes & technical network are as like ITIL V3, Cisco Routing and switching, Cisco Nexus Spine/Leaf architecture, F5 Load balancing, Checkpoint Firewalls.
- You are speaking English on a professional technical level, French, German, Dutch or Italian is an advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of Red Hat / CentOS Linux Used to work with source version control like Git, GitLab, Bitbucket, GIT flows and CICD Used to work with Puppet
- Used to work with Terraform (we aim that all pieces of infra is defined with code)
- Comfortable with Scripting (bash / python / ruby / puppet / CICD)
- Understanding of network protocol (IP, DHCP, DNS, BGP, Load balancing,...)
- Experienced in programming language (java / GoLang / python)
- Experience with multi DC setup (in different countries)
- Experience with hybrid infra (On prem + cloud) Experience with security standards (PCI-DSS,...)
- Excellent communication skills in English Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Ruby, Perl, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Work effectively to complete assignments in group settings;
- Manage network projects/assignment in compliance with different standards & processes;
- Suggest & participate in continuous improvement topics with in the Network department
- Work cooperatively to achieve common goals, act in the interest of the organization without letting personal interests prevail;
- Familiar with service discovery in a micro-frontend architecture Prior experience as an SRE or in a similar operational role.
- Certifications in cloud provider technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, PagerDuty, New Relic,).
- Understanding of compliance and security best practices in a cloud environment.
