The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer / Application Manager to join our team at Worldline. In this role, you will be responsible for managing one or multiple applications throughout their lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring technical excellence while maintaining strong client relationships.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Application Management:
- Successfully manage assigned applications while keeping business objectives in mind
- Ensure the smooth operation, maintenance, and evolution of applications under your responsibility
- Ensure high-quality deliverables (technical and functional specifications, designs, developments, documentation, etc.)
- Guarantee compliance with commitments (costs and deadlines, operational reliability, etc.)
Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate high-quality client relationships and ensure client trust
- Support client interests on a daily basis
- Maintain a constant focus on client satisfaction
- Ensure professional communication and proper documentation of all interactions
Technical Expertise:
- Acquire and maintain a strong technical proficiency
- Understand the various technical environments used in your applications
- Evaluate and qualify the technical solutions chosen and implemented
- Contribute to the technical and functional evolution of Worldline products, solutions, and offerings
- Drive change and anticipate market developments through continuous self-learning and formal training
Onboarding and Training:
- Participate in the integration and training of new team members
- When assigned an intern or new hire:
- Provide appropriate supervision
- Support their professional development
Team Development:
- Actively contribute to:
- Team dynamics and engagement
- Development of a friendly atmosphere
- Building team solidarity by demonstrating availability to actively support the entire team
- Promote harmonious development of the team
Organizational Alignment:
- Understand management approaches and decisions
- Support organizational direction and initiatives
Who Are We Looking For
We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Experience in application lifecycle management and DevOps practices
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code
- Experience in monitoring, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise applications
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
- Client-focused mindset with excellent relationship management skills
- Experience in full stack development in Java/Kotlin and Angular, Spring, Spring Boot and microservices
- Proficiency in database-related technologies (MySQL)
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot or similar)
- Experience deploying and managing applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of monitoring and observability tools
- Experience with automation and scripting (Python, Bash, etc.)
- Knowledge of security best practices
- Experience in incident management and resolution
- Agile methodology experience
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
