The Opportunity
The role of Regulatory Compliance officer within Worldline NV/SA holds significant importance. It ensures regulatory integrity across the organization, safeguards the payment institution license, and reinforces Worldline’s compliance posture in the Benelux region and beyond.
Your responsibilities
- Act as a gatekeeper for the WL NV/SA compliance function
- Contribute to maintaining our Payment Institution license granted by the National Bank of Belgium
- Support and/or monitor the compliance reporting to the National Bank of Belgium and to WL NV/SA governance bodies
Actively contribute to the preparation and execution of the Compliance plan:
- Contribute to the drafting of the compliance monitoring plan
- Perform compliance assessment on the 1LOD: processes & documentation review, perform effectiveness controls, draft findings report and recommendations
- Ensuring processes & procedures are adequately designed to meet our regulatory obligations
Follow legislations evolution
- Handle regulatory evolution impacting payment
- Assess the business impact of new EU and Belgian legislations and assess the related compliance risk
- Ensure the persons in the business are properly informed of new obligations and take appropriate actions to mitigate the risks
- Address how the changes are implemented and the impact on the NBB reporting/disclosures
Business evolution & compliance visibility
- Be a point of contact for regulatory compliance related topics in the WL NV/SA organisation
- Provide regulatory advice and support in the structuring of new business offerings
- Execute passporting notification and perform the adequate reporting in the host member state where applicable
Who Are We Looking For
We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what’s next – people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:
- Master in Law or Business or equivalent experience in payment industry regulatory function
- Several years of relevant experience in a similar role (Certified compliance officer is a plus)
- Knowledge of PSD2 / PSD3, DORA, EBA guidelines and NBB Circulars is a very strong plus
- Ability to conduct second line assessments on an organization and to properly report the findings and associated compliance risks
- Knowledge of the card payment industry is a plus
- Excellent analytical skills with an eye for details
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Results driven, persistent and stress resistant
- Proactive approach, self-starter, eager to learn
- Multicultural mindset and flexibility, able to work in an international and fast changing environment
- Fluent in English and Dutch and/or French
- You must be based in Belgium
