Mission of MS-FI Business Development team 

- Setting up partnership with banks and financial institutions is one of the key pillars of Worldline Merchant Services (MS) growth strategy. The Go-to-Market "MS-Financial Institutions" (MS-FI) has recently been created to adress this new distribution channel and 2021 was a very successful year, with partnerships signed with BNL in Italy, Handelsbanken in the Nordics and Eurobank in Greece. Within the Go-to-market MS-FI, the Business Development Unit's mission is to sign new partnerships - commercial or capitalistic (eg JV) - with banks and financial institutions. 

- The role of the team is end-to-end: we cover the full deal lifecycle, from screening and sourcing of potential opportunities to deal signing and closing (in close relationship with teams typically involved in M&A). We are also in charge of the integration of the partner within Merchant Services.

- Scope : worldwide, with a focus on Europe.

 

Your missions will be :

  • Identify, pitch, propose tailor-made partnerships  
    • Identify and assess potential opportunities and define strategy to address them in line with MS-FI  priorities
    • Pitch our value proposition to banks and financial institutions at different levels in the organisation, in discovery meetings, innovation workshops, CxO meetings, involving WL Excom members
    • Build and propose tailor-made partnership models, depending on bank's challenges and needs
  • Engage in a structured and competitive process: M&A/RFP/RFI (project mode) 
    • ​​​​​​​Contribute to build and deliver the winning offering.
    • Key activities include: definition of sales and GTM strategy, market analysis, merchant portfolio analysis, due diligence, deliver inputs for the Business Plan (eg. qualify and quantify synergies) and for M&A reviews with WL top management
    • Negociate contracts, with Legal
  • ​​​​​​​Sign, close and integrate the partnership within WL 
    • Jointly drive (with WL Post Merger Integration team) the pre-integration and integration, enabling to plug the asset in our organisation and to deliver the synergies
