 The Opportunity

In this overall context, the organization of the Global Business Line Merchant Services is looking for an application owner for the SSLGateway product within the Business Integration team of SDPR. In this role you will be responsible for the product evolution of SSLGateway application. In addition to this activity you will also stand in for the 24/7 support of this high availability service. Together with a support team you will ensure a fully compliant service answering the needs of a high-demanding business.

As support engineer you will undertake proactive actions to avoid service interruptions and in case of an interruption you will do the utmost to reduce the duration to a minimum.

 

Day-to-Day Responsibilities​

 

Application owner

  • Evaluate the enhancements needed for the SSLGateway application to remain compliant.
  • Design a robust and high-available solution.
  • Implement the new features in a new deliverable.
  • Execute a validation plan after a new delivery of the application
  • Maintain the product documentation and keep it up to date with the latest evolutions.
  • Deliver installation guidelines which include a swift and seamless upgrade.
  • Design and communicate a product roadmap internally.

 

Support engineer

  • Assure the high availability of the Business Integration applications: SSLGateway, MQ Series, …
  • Participate to the 24/7 support service when evaluated to be prepared for the role.
  • Solve production incidents within the shortest delay possible.
  • Monitor the configurations and deliver input for the capacity plan
  • Provide technical guidance to consumers during integration with one of the Business Integration products.
  • Assist to Disaster Recovery Program Exercises conducted by other applications.

  • Written and verbal communication skills in English. Mastering other languages as French, Dutch and German are considered as a plus.
  • Bachelor / Master of Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent degree.
  • Knowledge  of C development language
  • Knowledge of Python scripting language
  • Knowledge of server based applications (Apache, TomCat, … )
  • Knowledge of TLS (and SSL) protocol where TLs handshake is a key element
  • Knowledge of load balancer solutions  like F5 BIG-IP and HAProxy are considered as a plus
