The Opportunity

Within Worldline’s 2nd Line of Defense Compliance team in the EU, we are seeking a motivated Compliance Trainee to join our multicultural, fast-moving environment. This role offers hands-on exposure to policy drafting and review, regulator reporting, governance support, and daily AML/CTF activities. You will work closely with Risk, Compliance, Legal, and Sales teams and report to the Chief Compliance Officer, gaining a solid foundation in KYC/AML, sanctions, and regulatory governance while contributing to a robust compliance program across WL Group.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Contribute to drafting and reviewing policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the compliance function.
• Help ensure regulator reports are prepared and submitted according to standards, and processed in line with the compliancy office’s requirements.
• Perform documentation revisions of the Compliance Control Framework, updating controls and procedures as regulations evolve across the organization.
• Assist team members in reviewing the governance system and creating trainings, presentations, and other supportive materials as needed.
• Support the compliance team in CSSF reporting and other regulatory submissions within Worldline Group and broader WL regional entities.
• Carry out daily AML/CFT activities, including customer due diligence, AML checks, and screening with tools such as World Check and Ricos.

Who Are We Looking For

• Excellent analytical skills with an eye for detail, enabling precise reviews of regulatory data and risk indicators across platforms.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities to clearly convey regulatory requirements, risks, and recommendations to diverse stakeholders across the organization.
• Results-driven, persistent, and stress resistant, with a track record of delivering quality work under tight regulatory timelines.
• Proactive self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, takes initiative, and collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams to drive compliance outcomes.
• Multicultural mindset with flexibility to operate across international contexts and adapt to evolving regulatory landscapes quickly and collaboratively.
• Fluent in English and French; proficiency in additional languages is a plus for regional collaboration across WL groups.
• Knowledge of AML/CTF, sanctions, or KYC concepts is advantageous and demonstrates a commitment to compliance excellence within global markets.
