Job Description
We are looking for Manual Test Engineer in the Payments Domain. You’ll be part of a cross-functional team that’s responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.
Location: Bangalore,Pune
Grade: 10
Relevant experience : 6 to 9 years
Education: Bachelors [B.E/MCA] or equivalent
Mandatory Skills:
- Designs test cases assuring the full coverage of the customer requirements of a project or service, applying the appropriate testing techniques.
- Should have Payment domain experience
- Knowledge on SEPA,SWIFT, ISO20022, Payments, Cross border payments
- Develops and reviews high quality and accurate test scenarios, input test data and expected results for all test phases.
- Executes tests systematically to ensure software quality.
- Review testability of the test basis.
- Takes responsibility on reporting and documentation of test cases.
- Implements all of the standard processes and tooling laid down by the organization. Proactively leads approach to the implementation of testing best practice within project team.
- Proactively reports test results with an initial investigation of the defect to provide solution to the developer or team/project lead by investigating logs, displaying defect on the test environment, etc.
- Provides opportune progress status reports to the Test Lead and client.
- Supports the development of the test capabilities and competencies in the test services practice.
- Responsible of the risk and issue identification and reporting to Test Lead within his/her scope of responsibility, ensuring all risks and issues are documented with the corresponding mitigations and corrective actions.
- Takes responsibility on being persistent in the achievement of assigned goals, maintaining focus during stressful periods or when deadlines are short and acts as a role model.
- Strong experience with iterative delivery using scrum/Kanban/SAFe
- Strong experience in integration concepts –REST and SOAP principles, message based mechanism, authentication and authorisation models
- Experience in tools such as JIRA, confluence etc.
- Good to have automation exposure in maintaining and executing the test scripts
- Product based mindset to software testing
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems, think creatively with attention to detail
- Ability to make decision, provide direction, manage stakeholders, influence outcome, identify risks/issues, share knowledge, collaborate, create content, and mentor testers
Must have Skills:
- Should have Payment domain experience
- Understanding of domestic and cross border payments concepts Ex: SEPA and SWIFT
- JIRA, Agile and SOAP UI experience is mandatory
- ISTQB Certified
- Good in communications skills
